Guide on Using Suffolk Online Webmail

You can access Suffolk Online Webmail by clicking on the link above or by going to the main Suffolk Online Website at http://www.suffolkonline.net and selecting Webmail on the top right of the page.
Login
You will then see the following screen below.

To login, type in your email username (usually the first part before the @suffolkonline.net, but for some users may need to use the full email address) in the username box and your email password in the Password box and then click Login.
Intial Screen
When you first login into Suffolk Online Webmail. You will see the screen below.

You will be able to view your latest emails as they appear straight away. Newer Ones will appear with an Orange background and have a blue star beside them as shown below.

Viewing an E-mail
To view the email you can simply just double click the highlighted message above. If you have already viewed an email it will look like the one below.

From this screen you also delete emails, move emails to a folder and reach all the other options available.
Along the top you can click on one of the icons below depending on what you wish to do.

- Checking an email
- Compose an email.
- Forward / Reply or Reply to send + All Recipients
- Move Message to Trash
- Mark Messages
- More Actions
Creating an E-Mail
Click on the Compase E-Mail icon.

You should then be presented with a screen similar to the one above. It will already have your sender address in the top of the screen. If you see your email address has @imap.phonecoop.coop. This can be easily changed to @suffolkonline.net. See our section on identities on changing this or give the support line a ring who will be happy to help you change this for you.
Attachments
If you wish to add an attchement to your email click the + button to the left side or the paperclip icon along the top.

** NOTE: Please be aware even though the software tells you that you can attach upto a 50mb file to your email. Ideally you can only send an attachment of around 10mb as that will be the standard limit that has been set on other providers networks and your email is likely to get rejected for being to large.
Once you have finished your email you can check the spelling if you wish by selecting the spelling icon along the top or save it as a draft and come back and amend it later. See Image below. 
Address Book
You can use the address book to store names and contacts of people you wish to send email to. Please note as below please do not use this as a sole way of keeping addresses. You can access
Using the above buttons you can do the following:
- Add new contact
- Compose an email to a specific or multiple contacts
- Delete selected contacts
- Import Contacts from another file

Export Contacts
When you press the Add New Contact you should see the following screen, you can then simply add the deatails of the contact and click save.

If you wish also on the webmail system is to change some of the settings on which your webmail is based.

You can do the following in the options:
Most of the settings on this wont actually need to be amended as they are correct by default.
- Change the lanugage in which you view your webmail and email.
- Allow webmail to give you a preview pane in which you viewr messages (Mailbox View)

Set a specific time on how often webmail should save a draft of your email.
If you wish to create new folders to store your emails in. Then select folders along the top and you will see the screen below.

Simply type in the name of the new folder and click create. You will see a total of all messages in all folders above. see the screenshot below.

One thing you will need to do is change your identitie on webmail so it comes from the correct email address. You can do this by select identities along the top as seen below. Then double click yourname@imap.phonecoop.coop. If you email says @suffolkonline.net. You do not need to do anything with this setting.

*NOTE: We advise that you do NOT use webmail as your sole way of sending or receiving email. it is only designed for use when your on holiday or away from your PC. We cannot guarantee that information stored on the system would be saved in the event of a major problem.
